There are times that it is hard to be so far away from home. We are missing family, friends and the comforts of home. Today is Sadie's brother, Jace's, 16th birthday. We wish we could be there to celebrate with him but a long FaceTime (well, long for Jace anyway) will do. I was also back to work today after taking some time off to get to Mexico and set things up. Video conferencing and conference calls work the same from here as they do from my office at home. A bit less comfortable sitting in a hospital waiting room but the technology is functioning well. My work has been incredible supportive and I am very thankful for the Chatters family.
Sadie had a good day in treatments. Yesterday's issue with IV's has been resolved. The low-dose chemotherapy program is scheduled to start tomorrow.
Tonight we were treated to a mariachi band playing on the street outside our apartment building. There is quite often music playing in the evening and even more often there are bonfires on the beach. Sadie has identified all the dogs in the neighbourhood. She is threatening to bring a stray back home with us. I'm not sure our little pack at home will accept a new member, or if Garrett will either for that matter. So far we have not come across any stray dogs and we can hope it stays that way.
